The Key To All Knowledge...@ Merlin

This light-blazing creature, which according to the movie-Merlin season 5, was the last of its kind happen to be the Key to all knowledge. Morgana, the Priestess sorted this creature with all her life without realizing that  the key to all knowledge was there lying beneath her feet...Oh sorry, the summary story of the movie is not my concern here but the statement made by this creature to Merlin. It said thus, "the key to all knowledge is a blessing...and also a curse". When this creature made this statement, notice that there was a little pause before it completed the last phase of the paradox. Thus:- "the key to all knowledge is a blessing...pause...and also a curse"

1. How can something be a blessing and at the same time, a curse? 
2. Do you think that if you happen to be opportuned to possess this Key, that it is going to become a curse onto your life?
