A Minnesota man who was jealous of the amount of attention his girlfriend’s nursing newborn was getting decided to take things in his own hands by grabbing a gun and pulling the trigger.

According to reports, Nicholas George Lehmeier of Cold Spring, Minnesota attempted to fire a 12 gauge gun at the woman and baby but when it didn’t go off, he got a revolver and threatened his girlfriend by saying, “One bullet is all I need to end this.”


Thankfully the woman was able to calm Lehmeier down but not before he fired a shot out the window to warn her that he was serious.

This was not the first time Lehmeier threatened or harmed the woman and her children. In April 2015 the woman’s other children were removed from her custody after Lehmeier abused one of them and was found guilty of fifth-degree assault.

Lehmeier is currently behind bars and facing up to seven years in prison for assault with a deadly weapon.
