Katy Perry has addressed the rumours that her friendship with BFF Rihanna is on the rocks, admitting that while she “loves” the 'Diamonds' singer, she is tired of trying to 'save celebrities' who are surrounded by their entourage.
The best pals have been plagued with rumours that they are no longer on speaking terms with sources claiming that Katy didn't approve of Rihanna's brief reconciliation with abusive ex Chris Brown last year, causing a rift between the pop divas.

While it's not clear if her comments are about RiRi directly, Katy, 28, says that some celebrities are difficult to reach out to due to the people they surround them with.
“I love her [Rihanna] and every time I see her, I'm reminded of the light that she has,” Katy told Elle magazine.
“There's a lot of dark in this business. I know a lot of people out there with the most detrimental entourages - they are the root of their demise. It's really unfortunate but you can't save these people. My days of celebrity saving are over.”

Earlier this year, a source claimed that the tension between the ladies was at breaking point when the pair refused to sit near each other at the Grammy Awards in February, apparently forcing organisers to change the seating plans.
“Such a headache!” a source told Us Weekly over the changes. “They aren’t tight anymore because Katy doesn’t approve of Rihanna dating Chris Brown,” they added.
Meanwhile, Rihanna, 25, is said to be confiding in model Cara Delevingne over her fears of losing her global fame and is even consulting a psychic to see what the future has in store for her career.
