A crowded Asiana Airlines flight cartwheeled and crashed during an erratic Saturday landing at San Francisco Airport, killing two and injuring dozens more in a fiery wreck.
Flight 214 from Seoul lost its tail and most of its roof while leaving a trail of debris after slamming into the tarmac on a sunny morning with clear visibility and light winds.
In addition to the two people killed, 181 people, including 11 children, were taken to local hospitals — although scores on board miraculously walked away from the crippled Boeing 777.
Five of the victims were critically injured in the midday crash as terrified people in and around the airport watched helplessly. Another 49 people were listed in serious condition.
