Police arrest home invader whose brazen beating of a New Jersey mom was caught on a nanny cam

Shawn Custis, 42, is facing charges of attempted murder, robbery, burglary and child endangerment in connection with a violent home invasion on June 21.Police have arrested the suspect whose brutal beating of a young New Jersey mom was captured on a nanny cam.

42-year-old Shawn Custis is in custody Friday afternoon after New York and New Jersey FBI agents tracked him to the lobby of an Inwood building on 10th Avenue.
The suspect has a long rap sheet of burglaries, a law enforcement official told NBC New York.
What could be his motive behind the attack???



The attacker threw the woman to the floor while her little girl looked on from the sofa.

The home invader then dragged the woman and threw her down the stairs.

The unidentified mother was beaten in an attack that was captured by a nanny camera.
